All this month I have been sharing with you all updates to my Living Room and Dining Room and so I thought I would also show you how I recently updated the Entry as well…since all the areas are one big space!
The biggest change is the addition of this gorgeous vintage-window style mirror that I recently picked up at Kirklands!
Since I was going for a light, bright, open and airy look in these rooms, this mirror was perfect!
I have had this large slipcovered entry table for years and love it…because under that pretty white linen shirt hides A BUNCH OF STUFF…it's a great idea for storage. For the top of the table, I had a custom size mirror top made to give it a more "finished look".
When working in a mostly neutral color scheme, it's important to add lots of texture and this mirror is painted a pretty creamy white and then highly distressed to look like its REALLY old.
For summer, added a few large palm fronds to a vase (fresh-cut from the yard) I love using these when decorating, they are tall and dramatic and add such a pretty, natural coastal touch to any room.
Then I finished off the entry table with a variety of glass hurricane vases, starfish and a large conch shell- I wish you could see this entry table at night with the candles lit!!
Anyways, thanks for stopping by the cottage today…can't wait to share with you all some updates to the Family Room/Kitchen areas I have been working on…I will give you a little hint:
I will be adding some "Coastal Greys" to the cottage!! So stayed tuned!!
