I hope everyone is having a wonderful week, thanks so much for stopping by Starfish Cottage today! I was hoping to have some beautiful “after” photos of our recent renovation, but sadly, there are still so many little unfinished items that I am unable to give you any true “after” photos, but here’s where we are in our project…this is where we started:
and this is the look we wanted:
And here is where we are today:
The new dark wood look porcelain tile floors are in and “some” of the walls have been given a fresh coat of lighter, brighter paint! (Still trying to find the time to finish painting all the walls downstairs!)
The new countertops have been installed, along with a new sink and I absolutely LOVE them!! The large counter height island has made the kitchen feel so much larger and open.
New brushed nickel hardware has been installed on all the kitchen cabinets, the new hardware gives a fresh, more modern look to my old white bead board cabinets.
The gigantic, oversized over-the-range microwave has been replaced with this sleek, stainless steel vent hood, and a classic white subway tile backsplash has been added…all the outlet/switch covers still need to be replaced, but I haven’t found time to purchase longer screws!
Bead board and trim moulding has been added to the front and sides of my new counter-height island…but it’s still waiting to be primed and painted.
The new white counter height industrial metal barstools look great, but I still need to order two more!
We have come a long way with our cottage updates, and I’m so pleased with how everything is turning out! Just like real life, however, our home is a “work in progress” there is still so much work that needs to be done, and while I am eager to try to FINISH all the little things, I am happy and grateful for all of the progress, and I’m learning to be more patient, and enjoy the “process” more than achieving “perfection”! Hoping to get a little more work done this weekend though…
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a terrific day!
