Restoration Hardware: The Look for Less

Over the years, I have developed a “knack” for “knocking off” a high end look for less, and my recent trip to Tampa’s new Restoration Hardware store really got my wheels turning…

The entire store was so inspiring, but I thought it might be fun to try to “knock off” a few of their items for less:

  1. The contemporary white sofa pictured above reminds me of the Ikea KIVIK sofa we have in our upstairs bonus room:

KIVIK Loveseat and chaise IKEA KIVIK is a generous seating series with a soft, deep seat and comfortable support for your back.

Here is the same sofa in our bonus room in the “Restoration Hardware” configuration with two chaise lounges:

It looks very different here styled with bright colors, but overall, it’s the same look at a FRACTION of the cost!

2. Another thing I loved about this room were the large grey pillows, you can also find these at IKEA-

SANELA Cushion cover IKEA Cotton velvet gives depth to the color and is soft to the touch. The zipper makes the cover easy to remove.

These are fabulous- 26″ square- large in size, but small in price- $10 each!!

I used these this past fall at the cottage, and they looked GREAT!

2. Another easy knock-off are the black sealife shadowboxes:

I actually shared a DIY post on how to make similar sealife shadowboxes.  This one is pictured with starfish, but I have also used seafans just like the ones at Restoration Hardware.

I hope these four knock-offs show you how to take a high-end look and find more affordable options for an equally fabulous room!
