“Football Food Friday”- Carmelized Onion Dip

I love the change of seasons and indulging in all the simple pleasures each season brings, and every fall (like most Southerners) I eagerly anticipate the start of college football (Go Noles!)- not merely for the actual sporting event, but (probably more importantly) for the food, fun, and get-togethers with friends that this season brings.

So in honor of the start of football season, I am devoting each Friday of September to a little thing I like to call "Football Food"- favorite recipes for appetizers and dips- perfect for munching on while watching the game, perfect for ANY kind of get together, really.

This Friday, I am sharing with you a highly addictive little dish called Carmelized Onion Dip.  I got this from Ina Garten (big suprise- I might be her biggest fan) and it is a REAL crowd pleaser.

I have to tell you, the smells from your kitchen while carmelizing the onions will drive you crazy, but you have to wait until you taste it!!!  Simply serve with crunchy kettle cooked potatoe chips, carrots and celery and you will be a believer.

Here is the LINK to the recipe…Enjoy!
