As promised, I am back today with updates in the dining room…this room, along with my living room has recently undergone a few major updates…earlier this year the room looked like this:
our 17 year old French Country dining chairs and table, all with custom ruffled slipcovers and accented with my blue and white vases- I loved this room, but it was time for an update, here’s the room as it is today:
we recently sold our French Country dining set and purchased a more modern, clean-lined dining set and I LOVE it!
The upholstered chairs are more comfy than our wooden ladderback chairs and the table has several leaves that expand it to fit a large dinner party if needed.
This room doubles as my office, so the comfy chairs are fabulous! I kept coastal accents in the bookshelves and on the table for that fresh “Florida” look, but removed all the blue and white for fall. (BTW- blue and white will look fabulous in here when I bring it all back out next summer!!)
I’m still “tweaking” some things in here too, I want to go even more minimal with the accessories in the bookshelves for a cleaner more modern look, and will probably have fun updating the centerpiece on the dining table…but so far, we are loving the new look!
This week, I have used my phone to take photos of these rooms for the blog, so they are not my best, but I wanted to keep you all updated on everything here at the cottage! I know these rooms are a bit of a departure from my old look, so I hope everyone is ok with it;) I really do like the more modern, clean look and will have fun adding pops of color and seasonal accents in a more minimal, modern way- so stay tuned!
Thanks so much for joining me again today…a full source guide and details will be coming soon!
